What is Colorectal Surgery?

The area of medicine known as colorectal surgery deals with the reconstruction of damage caused by colorectal diseases. A variety of health problems in the gastrointestinal tract, including the rectum, anus, and colon, can necessitate surgery.

Other conditions for which surgery may be recommended, but only to a limited extent:
Haemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal prolapse, and bowel incontinence are all symptoms of bowel incontinence
